The long ago Fantasia

It's 2020 and been a couple months since I last updated this page. I haven't had anything in my mind that drives me to write anything. Back when I was in romantic period of chasing a girl, I always rely on doing this in order to ease my mind. I am still in the same relationship for 5 years now, and I realize that the peak moment of my blog is when we first separate. From then on, I rarely write anything about my relationship. It's just so stable that I don't know what to say here or rant about.

So why am I here writing/typing today? It's because I told myself to write something now so I won't regret it in future that my blog is abandoned, and there is nothing that I can laugh or nostalgic about.
But ofcourse I came in today with a topic to write. It is about this person that I sometimes forget, but was somewhat a part of my life before.

Ok now that's awkward because I literally stopped at my 2nd paragraph and did not update until now... which is like 1 month.

Something I had in mind is the question of the girl from my 1st blog. It does seem like I could never stop writing......

Even more awkward as I just stopped and did not continue write this entry for another 1-2 months.

I'll just update now if not I probably forget later. First thing first, the idea of trying to apologize or again reconnect with Nia. I always thought of a way to talk with her, but it would have been awkward to just start talking now without context. What should I say? "Hi, it's been a long time, how are you doing?" That sounds real gey, but a sufficient way to start the conversation I say. I always get into a roadblock where I question myself "why does it even matter what I say after years of dormancy between us?" Like people have impression of first words or speech, but I have met her before and talked to her before for almost everyday. True that things ended up awkward between us, but why is it also I don't want to start any conversation? The fear of unknown I suppose? What is the unknown? Her replies? What would she feel or say? But does it even matter how others feel? The concept of me thinking about how she feels is legit based on her version inside my head. And her version inside my head hasn't been updated ever since 4-5 years ago, or maybe even more.

Logically, the best move for me is to just start talking to her, but the human emotion part of me denies that and don't want to involve unnecessary actions. I guess that's what makes us human. Though logic is more likely will give us better future, but the human of us limits us to what we can do and not be a total robot. This notion reminds me of the game Nier Automata, where the original Aliens who invaded Earth were perceived as "boring" by their own creations, as they only follow logic: "if something is broken (be it physical or social problems), then it will be fixed with no emotions" "if something is required for the sake of their race but not others, then they will do anything necessary for their own survival." The list goes on but the idea is they are a race of creatures that have zero emotions. And the main protagonist, of course, are pro-human, and that's why the Alien's creations (antagonist) are more interested in humans than their own kind. I won't spoil more on the story but the more I think about it the more I realize that we are a very dramatic creature. We seek drama as if it is necessary for our life. I don't mean drama in terms of K-drama or some other romantic/tragic story, but rather we use our emotion to guide ourself, and sometimes, but not always, diverge from doing something better. Let's say you are an introvert who doesn't talk to anyone, sit in corner everyday minding you own toughts. Others may say "take a look at him/her, acting all cool and shit." You may not want it, but the act of being different from others is considerably dramatic, as why can't you just be like other people and instead be very different. Another example is if you want were given the choice of doing something, but you ended up using your emotion to guide you, rather than logic. The most common example I see is people posting up emotional quotes or life updates in social medias about their life, like relationship for example, where they have hard time dealing with their partner, and instead of logically processing what is best for his/her relationship. Yes some probably they tried, but based a story I heard, the amount they "tried" is basically dumb. For one story, which is a friend of my girl friend who she knew for years. She had a boyfriend who only seeks short term relation ship and doesn't want to go beyond, in addition he demands deep physical interaction with her. Her, playing the "caretaker" let her boy friend does that, but he still doesn't consider deep relationship just because he got hurt before by his ex. And of course the girl is sad. She gave whatever she can to the boy, but the boy doesn't want to give his best to believe in her. Now, play that you are the girl, what would you do:

1) Try your best to learn his situation, find correct ways to wake him up from his nightmare and give him all you can to give him experiences that would make him acknowledge that you are not going to repeat his past. And in all cases that he doesn't want to change at all, you would just move on from the boy.

2) Try give the boy whatever he wants that doesn't actually help him, for example feeding him all the lust/pleasures he desires. Dismiss his "unpleasant behavior" with an excuse of "his is still 21, and he is still growing." Continuously get depressed from his behavior, and post emotional quotes/updates at Instagram. And probably quit the relationship when you get enough mental scar from doing this.

Many seeks part 2 as we are human. But there is something that may not support this idea of mine. What if logic was taught properly at early education, so people can grow to use logic more than emotions? Would that create a less dramatic society? I still believe that emotions will be there to judge an individual's action, but would cases like I describe above be less common? Something like science, maths they are logic, but we are forced to memorize them, rather than actually embrace the fact that logical approaches would lead to a correct answer. Maybe zero emotion can be acheived if someone is raised in a school where their reality is based on a society that should never show emotion, like an extreme army school I guess. Though they may not show emotions, I still believe somehow that those individuals still have a tiny or spark of emotion in them, waiting to burst out. What is human without emotions I guess.

I guess I derailed enough. Back to the main question, I would follow my human part to not talk to her now, but I would probably start the conversation at her birthday, where I can wish her and hopefully a seed would be planted then.

-Insert Interesting Title here about Life Update-

For awhile now, I have been thinking of good entries for the blog, but most of them time I forgot to write it and eventually forgotten forever.

(20 days later)

As of now, it is 2 days before cousin Steph's wedding, and I am current in my aunt's house.

(9 days later)

Now I am back in Seattle to run my old life. What I wrote up there is basically me trying to continue this blog, but at the same time not having the spirit to do so. I mean this blog is not alive nor dead, just very inactive because I hardly have the will to write anything these days. I recall back then when I started this blog, I had a lot of things that I wanted to write that I posted at least 2 post in a day. Now adays I have just been struck by work (unpaid), and not drama had happened for so long. My Aniki/senpai that I hang with is not dramatic (which is why I hang with him in the 1st place), so I almost have nothing to write about him either. Now I am in a local American cafe, supposedly doing my review on aging stem cell. Before I grow old and senile, this is the current update I have:

1) Graduated from UWUniveristy OWOshington with degree in MCD.
2) I got accepted into OPT program.
3)Stayed in the same stem cell lab (Hannele's) and have 3 projects going on (Review on Stem Cell Aging, Mechanism of Quiescence by the means of cellular pathway and Mechanism of Quiescence by the means of epigenetic.
4) Went to cousin's Steph's wedding. Which was epic in my opinion.

The graduation was hot as af, and I wasted my aunt's birthday by having her to sit under the sun for hours. Feels bad. But the graduation itself is nothing to me. If I haven't get a job, support parent, get my the darl into a western world, then I am still a loooooser. Next, the OPT thing... I got accepted quite early, but sadly my aniki did not  get his approval until like a month later or so. But in the end everything went fine for the both of us.

The wedding was interesting, as it was my first time going into a western style wedding. I first learned the existential of "Tea Ceremony" where the bridge and groom has to offer tea to the elders (based on asian tradition). I was told that this was common, but apparently out of the 1000 asian wedding I went, I have never been invited into 1, so I never learned about it. But out of all, I was able to meet many of Uncle Ong's cool family. They were chill and such that I really felt like at home. At first I didn't want to go, but in the end of the day.... I didn't want to leave. Very nice people and very nice wedding.... It was held at a place where I could see the desert mountains. I like the place they chose, with the only downside being under the sun and it was blindingly bright during the ceremony. Other than that.... oh I also regret ordering fish than beef, because beef menu was filet mignon, whereas the fish is just sea bass.... which are cheaper. Very angry but oh wells, it was still good and that is all that matters.

Now my life is back to the old grind where I have to impress my PI by working hard. Thank god the projects that I received was in line with my interest. But other than that I really have no idea what comes next. I wonder if there is anything major that is due or have to be done soon.... Maybe just try to apply to graduate school? For grad school, I would love to stay or go to CA. If CA, I would want it to be a school where I can get funding for my entire study time... If not I will be in damnation of always using parent's money. But as of now, I really don't know what is coming. I say this because I typically have something that I usually nervous about.... Oh, I am applying for the unescorted access to large nuclear material, which takes about a few months to process? And at the process, the FBI will be looking into me deeply. Well,  I am not too scared by this because, as far as I am aware of, I have never done any wrong or crime in the life that I have lived (other than lying about my homework being eaten by a cicak).

I guess that's much as I can report. Oh... I finally met that girl again. Well the word "finally" is not really correct, but more like... I see her again... that person from the "hella" lab. Not real name, but that PI was so bad that my experience in his/her lab was like hell. Back to topic,  I met the same person I used to work with in that lab. You probably won't understand who I am referring to today, because I purposefully written her story in a hidden side of the blog. And no, we are not going back to find that hidden blog now. But basically this person almost pulled me out of my current relationship. She did nothing, it was all on me. AND NO, WE ARE NOT GOING TO FIND THAT HIDDEN POST UWU. Back to story, I met her again, now at my current work place. She looks exactly the same. I wonder if she is working in the same institute as I am now or something. It was already 6 pm though. I know she always came in late to lab back when I used to work with her, but that was because of class and stuff. I wonder if she also taking 2 lab positions as she did before. But that would mean that she is working more as a technician than researcher. I am quite curious on what she is doing currently. She was actually the person that drove me to have 2 research experience at the same time. But I never told her anything about it. I never want to tell her that I wanted to challenge her, but this is more for myself. "If she can do it, so can I," was the saying that I had in my head when I first heard from my ex-PI that she is working for 2 different lab at the same time. And for that, I was her "silent challenger,"  by working in 2 different lab at the same time, while also taking hard ass classes. The moment I saw her was when she went down off the shuttle and our eyes met, we said hi, but both of us just walked passed, me going into the shuttle, she walked to whatever place she wanted to go to. At that brief moment.... I recall a little of the past where I met and worked with her. My mind stopped working as I recall the face of that ex-PI of mine. Oh I saw her during my graduation. Saw her, and immediately was pissed by her as she doesn't say hi back to me. Freaking PI..... she saw me and acted like she never knew me. I worked my ass hard for her but she never guide me right. In the end of the day.... seeing my old PI was very unpleasant. Now to think about it... is she still working with my ex-PI? Next time I see her, I'll pin her down and ask her about her life, or atleast, about how is my dear ex-PI doing.

To think about it, the next story is about my a the darl. She couldn't get a job and her parents are like grinding her to get one and seem to use more of emotion than intellect to keep her having the "drive" to get a job fast. I discussed this with her before: But perfections doesn't come with being hurried. What I am trying to say is, when people or parents are desperate, they tend to use emotion to want things to get done, but at the same time, not very efficient and also drives other people or their kids to fall into mental depression. I know this well because it was well written on my blog.... part... 2? I described well the drama I had at home. Where I was pushed hard to get into Fall quarter to start my education. I chose winter quarter and my parents were unhappy and immediately assumed that I am lazy, picking romance over future, stupid, etc etc. The more I think about it the more I have no doubt that my parents were just flooded with fear of thinking that I have been influenced to be a "bad person" or someone that they totally do want to have. It was, of course, very sad on my side, where parents don't support your thinking, even though I logically had planned everything, just to be fired with ideology that are only supported by emotions. In the end, my choice had brought me good experience of life in college and university. I regret nothing over my choice. I ended in a lab where I am given 3 projects that can be used to support my entry to grad school better than other candidates. I am lucky to be where I am now. My parents wanted me to go to school 3 months earlier, but would that choice bring me to where I am now? Probably same or better? I do doubt that. I get to where I am now by meeting right people at right time. Even my failures here had brought me to where I can excel better than others. What are the odds of me working in the same lab with the same work moral and such if I hadn't been exposed to the failure that I was supposed to receive and learn from? Just what are the odds of me going into a the same place or better? A stem cell lab that gave me 3 projects relating to cancer and aging? Name me a more interesting lab and project than that! What I am trying to say is.... just by 3 months later than normal application, I probably had gotten a good or better life. I mean there could still be chance of me ended up in the same place, but again, what are the odds? If I hadn't sacrificed 3 more months being with my darl, both of us... agreed that we might not be able to last as long as we are now. I also ended up graduating from my college at the same time if I had came in 3 months earlier, but would I be the same person? If I had broken up with my darl, would I still have the drive to move forward as today? Maybe yes and no. There's a chance I might get someone here and of course get citizenship in a blink. That's all cool and stuff, but will my application to grad school be as great as I have now? How much depression would I fall into if I had to break with darl?
One can argue it could be better and not, but the idea is, I still did not fail as of now. I am actually doing better than I thought I would do actually..... Back to the main idea.... Don't let your parents' emotion influence your future choice. Make your own logical decision and stick to it. Outcome my be better or worst or same, just don't regret not following your own instinct. And again...  don't randomly assume that you know better than your parents or elderly, I was like this because I knew their logic were based on emotion and were full of doubts. If your parents gave you a logical statement with little to no emotions infused, then you might want to listen to them. My parents always force me to graduate fast, but that idea only works if you are in business major (correct me if I am wrong), and atleast, definitely not my major. I had followed what they wanted me to do, which is to study fast and graduate fast, I would 100% not be in good condition to go to grad school, as my field of study requires me to have as much research experience more than grades. If I graduate early, I would have taken away my chances of doing as much undergrad research as I should atleast have, and that would not lead me anywhere, as no one would even want to hire me. Like that neighbor that my parents used to compare me to.... He is also in bio-related major as I am, but all he did was to get good grade and graduate earlier. And that's when the problem came in. He couldn't find a job and from then on, my mother had never shared me his story or compared me to him anymore. Now to make it even worst, I heard many universities are dropping the GRE system (a  standardized exam), so your application is weighted heavily on good research experience. And as of me, if my projects can really move to how I wish, my name would atleast be at the top 10 to 5% of best applicant. So really.... my entire point is... I made it to where I want to be by listening to my own belief. I know my gamble and I played it right. But don't interpret me wrongly, if you are not rational and drive your choices mostly by emotion, then you should NOT LISTEN TO YOURSELF. Seem like as long as you are rational (don't simply assume that you are though), you can move correctly. It's kind of weird though....to think about it,  how do you know that you are a rational person? when can you start to listen to yourself and not others? When are you sure that you are right? All I know was that I could closely predict the logical order of possible future back then. If I go early..... less interaction with darl, high chance of breaking up, sad life in USA, no motivation to move forward. If I go a little later the chances of breaking up is lower (as we spend more time together and know about each other more deeply), and hence I can focus on my studies better; which overall lead me to a better life. The latter choice had brought me a good life, and I can't say too much about the former. And how did I get this kind of thinking without doubting myself that I might be super wrong? Failure, I am one of the biggest loser in my class. I acted like shit and stuff while at the same time, practiced my skill of logical thinking. I learned all emotion driven actions always end up in failure, whereas logical thinking are the ones that saved me. I practiced logical thinking in high school as I knew damn well that I had nothing to lose, other than friend or dignity. I trained my thinking since then, and that's how I was able to chose my own path without getting into as much doubt. All that matter is, I was able to make a choice without being influenced by my parent. Now I recall that there are times where I made my choice and my parents still try to persuade me to go earlier. I am quite proud of myself that I am capable of sticking to my own belief/gamble, even after being roasted everyday at home by my very own parents. Kind of annoying though. They were not happy with my choice and tried to control me. To think about it, did the relationship with my darl also made me into such a confident person?  Because I recall that I was a person who's easily affected by other people's words, especially by my own parents. If I had gone into the former choice and fail ultimately as predicted by my gamble, who would I blame? My parents or myself? Regardless, I will to live with an eternal regret, and that's what I want to avoid. One of the reason I was able to keep on to my gamble is because I know the feeling of following the choice that is not made by my own will, and to ultimately end up in regret. And let me share with you that the feeling of regret by not following other people's words are not as painful (sometimes the regret just fades away real quick from me... as soon as I learn from the mistake of course...) as regretting from not to follow your own instinct (I have a couple of this regret since high school, and some of them still haunts me up till today, eventhough they were not very important to me). I am happy that I had been experiencing failures when the stakes was so low, but in turn, I learned a lot about decision making for myself. If you are a parent and is currently reading this, please do not force your kids to do something out of emotions, you would probably destroy them internally. Please do not throw away their self esteem if you can.... So what's of my relationship with my parent now? All I can say is better. I was given the chance of going back hometown to visit my GF and see my parents once more, and luckly this time, they never compared me to anyone anymore and I was given the smiles that I have wanted to see. From then on... though the trip was just a total of a month, I was able to fix my self and forgive them of their past mistakes on me. If they had not wanted me to go back, I would probably still in hatred and not contact them as often as I do now. I recall there was a time, before my visit back from US, I did not call my parents for 2-3 months straight. Now at least every week or 2 weeks there are calls between me and the family. I've been like ranting about this for hours, probably the essay if full of repetition by this point. Here are some favorite quotes I got my captain Levi:

"The only thing we're allowed to do... is to believe that we won't regret the choice we made."

"I don't know which option you should choose. I could never advise you on that... No matter what kind of wisdom dictates you the option you pick, no one will be able to tell if it's right or wrong until you arrive to some sort of outcome from your choice."

With all of that. I'll end this post as I am going to continue reading some research papers regarding aging and such.

Silent Challenger

Greetings to whoever is following this blog. Actually I don't think there's anyone, as my viewer calculator said zero. Am not sad , as I never plan this blog to be those blog that anyone would follow crazily. In addition, my broken English probably repelled many out there from following this blog.

I am writing this post for giving future self a note that I have graduated with a Bachelor of Science's degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology, and now I am waiting for my EAD card to be approved. I hope it comes out by this month.... As of now, I am learning a little of R and Python programming language because why not. Actually because I don't see how I can advance forward without programming background in my future. Most of biological data are going to be in expressed with computer and we must know how to read, access and interpret those data.

I wasn't very motivated at first because I felt that I needed a break from studies and such, but feelings change after I finished reading the Beta Version of the novel I described on my previous post. The story itself is indeed very different from the Alpha version. I read only the deaf girl's route, as her's wasn't satisfying on the alpha route. The beta story had more story and richer than the alpha version's, however, there were a lot of grammatical errors, as expected from it's beta status. I love the story as how it address the handicap that the girl has, more than in the alpha version, where the issue of being deaf (it's disadvantage and, surprisingly, advantage) is not played as strongly. The alpha version only talked about how her competitiveness got the best out of her, whereas in beta version, the problem came from her deafness itself. I heard the written purposefully wanted to make this character less of a handicap, and more of a normal person. I understand what he/she wanted, as there are people out there who are handicap but lives normally and mostly deal with problems outside of being handicap. However, making a unique story has its downside, that it may not address much of the theme. I came to this novel, wanting to understand how broken people cope with life, and not super interested with stories that are commonly told in typical high school shounen/shoujo. But that's just my trashy opinion. Also the story in the beta is less corny as the one in the alpha. But the beta is darker than the alpha, as someone suicides in the story, but I think the writer justified that part well. Aside the grammar though, reading a beta story has its major downside, which is the writing on minor part of the story. Many minor parts are skipped, for example when the 2 characters were going on a date, the novel skipped the entire date and explained that both came home... and that's it. A lot of short time skips, but certainly we could imagine that nothing major happened. The main reason I felt motivated is because the beta version is great, and I was able to embrace the girl's philosophy in relationship, more than in the alpha version. Both in alpha and beta, the girl had the believe that one must challenge the other in order for both of them to grow. I didn't buy this statement as much on the alpha version, as the story itself pissed me off and I wasn't able to appreciate the content as much. But now I am into her even more, and I had this feeling that I want her even more. Just to clarify, I am already satisfied with my current lover, as loyalty is my main priority. However, I do like girls that challenges life itself, which drives me to want to beat her. My lover though, is a very chill person, so sometimes I just never had the drive to make myself better. The only motivation I have is to get a good job, get citizenship else where, and immigrate her with me. But other than that.... nothing really had driven me to be a competitive person. But as I read the novel, I had this feeling of familiarity of trying to surpass someone before. That was none other than the person I described mediumly in the 1st blog. I believe, it was her that I tried to beat, that's why my grade skyrocketed from ABCDE, to AAAAA. And just recently, I got from my lover that she was interviewed and posted in the university and linkedin website.

Link: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6551429078912729088/

I must say, she always beat me in something. I think she's the first in my class to have this kind of acknowledgement? I don't know what this is called, Joan please tell me. I expected other A* students to earn these kind of recognition faster than her. No offence, but I always thought Nat would be the one who would come out in the newspaper or online paper or something. But the idea is.... when I read her post, while Skyping my darl, I had the feeling of guilt. I did bad things to her and I really want to apologize. All I had in mind is how she built her life so well that her luck is always high, in terms of academic and career wise. I can't stop this feeling of wanting to praise her and... most of all... apologize for my stupidity. With negativity aside.... I want to see her as my challenge again. Trying to surpass her silently, so I have the motivation to move on. I do hope that she will get published again or something so I can get more motivation to do things that can sharpen my future.

With the main points written, I should end this now, as Im hungry, and this blog supposed to act as my data collection, to see if Zipf's Law plays in my writing.

Wonders of the Past

I finally was able to add music to this blog. Apparently if the blog is linked via https, it will secure my blog website so much that it prevents any music popup. Luckily this can be prevented by clicking on the links that I provided on my blog, as they actually are set by me to be on http, not https.

I do not have much today.. just wondering about the past that I am thinking about. One of them is being how people in my high school show their affection in class or elsewhere by holding hands and stare at a blank. Why though? I thought of this since a long time ago, but I never really think hard enough about it as much as today. People sit around them while they hold hands and look infront without any reaction. I placed myself (as the old self) into back then and I do not have any reason, or any drive to want to do anything like that. Shouldn't me and my partner be talking non stop in class? Or do something else more human? Holding hands like that without doing anything else reminds me of dogs mating. Once they hump, they tend to stick their genitals and do nothing, while other dogs or humans are staring at them. Enough about that as I can't really think of a reason why.

The next on agenda is about what the girl from 1st blog told me,  'i know you can find someone better that me.' Just so odd that what she said back then was just so true. Oh god I can't change the font to match with the previous fonts.... but whatever. The point is.... how did she know? I mentioned previously that I took what she said as "trying to push me away from her in a friendly way." Now that I am much more rational than my shitty old self.... I am wondering..... if she really knew that she was also lost back then and wasn't capable of showing innocent boys the ways of proper relationship. That could be a possibility or that my old hypothesis (more like assumption) that she is trying to push me away nicely. But to think about it, I did find a wonderful person to date with. Though she ain't perfect, she has rare traits that many other people don't have. Just.... what was she thinking in order to tell me such statement?

This one will probably the last as I want to sleep. I am not sure if I wrote this in any of my previous blog, but I usually associate a cluster of my memory by musics.  And it seems to me that my whole college and uni life is mostly can be represented by sound tracks from Katawa Shoujo. It is a visual novel that is made by 4channers and made them free for anyone to download. And the musics are actually used to represent this blog. You are listening to them now if the audio for this blog works for you. Everytime I listened to some of the track, it always reminds me of my last few months of my college. Always reminded me of the house I stayed in.... such a beautiful memory. I strongly encourage you to read this novel. Yes it does contain H-scene, but you can actually go to Option in the main menu and deactivate it if you are not conformable with that. The story basically set on a person who have to transfer to a School for Disability after suffering a sickness. There are 5 girls that you can read about and their story are independent of one another, mostly meaning that going into one girl's story line would yield a very different ending from with another girl. I won't give spoilers but here are the girls that you can choose route from and my opinion on their story line.

This character, named Hanako, has the most FEEL storyline compared to the rest of the girls. Highly liked by the community by the huge amount of character development made by the main character (you) and especially this girl. I would strongly recommend reading her storyline if you want to know about the story of how one deals with mentally broken person and rise them up. Not sure if this is a spoiler or not, but it is obvious from the start that she is not physically handicapped, but mentally is. So be prepared to read her story and end with sadness to how great the story went.
This person, Shizune, has a poorly written story in my opinion. There are tonnes of moments where the story could have been spiced up, but the written did not do anything about it. The amount of character development here is okay for the main character, but as much on her side (many people agree that the ending doesn't seem to be like the other girl's good story line, as in the end no one solves anything, little if there's any). I won't tell you why, but with this character, in many ways, could be written much more greatly that it would scar my heart like crazy. I put this girl as the second here (even though there's no ranking here ) because I really really really like her. I could link myself to her at most parts.... making me wonder if this is the girl version of me. I was so angry that such a potential for epic story here was wasted. Before I discourage everyone about this girl, I would strongly suggest that everyone to read the other girl's story line and still going to this one. And after that's done, go and find the beta version of this novel and read her story there. Apparently the beta version of this girl's story is much different from the alpha (official) version, and is reviewed to be much much better than the one in the official novel. Rumor had it that the original author for this girl actually left when the story was done and copyrighted the story for his/herself, making other people having to recreate a new storyline from scratch. Which makes sense why her story sucks in the alpha version, as people were hurried to finish her story. I'll reedit this blog when I finish reading the beta version story.
Lily, in my opinion, has the most typical love story that you will find. Her storyline is nicely written but in terms of feels and emotional session, her is quite flat. Most of the time the story gives off a calm and romantic vibe. The roller coaster only happens in the ending, which was not too long, but still worth it. Many people also reviewed her as one of the top girls to read. For me, I prefer Hanako's story as it had much more feelings of uncertainty and heavy emotional swings. You can take her route if you like normal romantic stories with not much of shock.
Rin's story is really weird. Portrait as a tomboy, she often talks very philosophically and end up confusing both character. When I say confusing, it doesn't mean you are the one who's confused, but the main character does, so basically there aren't anything wrong with you as the reader. She's one of the odd character to date here, and in my opinion, she is actually a very interesting person to go with. She reminded me one of my close friend who's always talk philosophically and ended up saying things that no one in the table understands. To get to understand this kind of people are very interesting and I would recommend you to read her story. In terms of feel.... not much for me, but I did get a very happy and satisfaction feeling when I finished reading her story.

Last one is Emi. I did not get to her story yet as I wasn't interested in a loli's story. I read many good reviews about her story. Many referred her as either the best or the second best to Hanako's story. I'll probably read her story later when I get to grad school or something, so I can start my 2nd part of education life with this visual novel.

That's most about it. I really like how this is made by non paid people.... especially the music... it's so great yet the composer still made them knowing he won't be paid much or at all. So remember kids, read this novel.

Dramatic Prima Donna

I did write before about how I would like to conclude my self argumentation about who is right and who is wrong.

The topic was if we should change the word "right" to "wright" because i always accidentally types wright when I wanted to write right.

Actually no, my topic of argumentation was about that girl from 1st blog. If you know who I am, you will be thinking why this douchebag is still thinking about that girl and not focus on something else. Well, whenever I have a rough moment, I never think of just letting them be and forget them. I do not abandon my demonic memories, I accept them as me, and live with them. Though my memory with her was semi traumatic, I wouldn't want to be your average bimbo who always tries to forget about the past and move on and get traumatized again in the future. My style is I get depress, GG, dead, before moving on and analyze individual acts and events that I had to go through; that's why it takes me long to re-analyze my past, but surely I never will forget them and extract what is it in me that I am "lack."

To start of, I was wrong. I was trying to help someone who's already deep in emotion where she was not capable of just accepting some good possible scenario. I wanted to show her a better life, yet was I showing/advertised it right to her? No. All I did was what many others are capable of doing as well, which is to promote and not giving her a glance of what I was trying to show/do to make her "better."
What does it mean to give her a "better" life? Buy her dinner everyday? Grocery shopping with her everyday? Watch some crappy and cheesy korean drama with her? Go to all the bars exist in Kuching and give her the Heaven's Feel? No. What I was trying to do, was to bring her to the life of 0 drama. Life where where we be together and show no dominance towards one another, no high expectation, no drama, if there's a problem sit and discuss about it and find solutions to them. But it does seem odd for many people as it sounds boring. That's the problem with many people I know. It seems like drama itself is a must to their life, and if not, it is a boring relationship. I too sought this life, but once i notice that it brings more anger and frustration than happiness, I dropped it. But later in their life, they realized that they were wrong. They wasted so much of their life on drama and not being fully happy, which they later regret. That's what I wanted to offer to her, but most likely I showed/presented that choice badly. Tried my best but it never worked. But I guess it makes sense in the end..... who would want the advertisement that they ignore to come back to them and ask them "Ar3 y0U sUre?" That's what I did to her and I got what I deserved.

But that did not end horribly as I found another sexier and much betterer wahmen to date with. Not saying that the girl from 1st blog is ugly or something, but to be honest, she is just average. What made me liked her was the attention she gave me (care and etc) and I had the desire to drag her out of her dramatic life. Note that her life is so full of drama that I really eager to drag her out of it, and somewhat be involved with it. But, in the end it wasn't my job to do so. I ended up with someone who never had a love problem before, hence it is easier to make her believe me. I would have guessed that there would be more suffering on me if I were to date the girl on the 1st blog, compared to this one I have now.

I got so attracted to her dramatic life, which makes me wonder today if girls/boys like to dramatize their life on purpose in order to make them more attractive. I won't deny that as I did things like that before. I watched her danced and sing; act on the stage where it's light never seem to go off. Curtains never seem to close for long. How can someone's life be this interesting I asked. As I watch her acts becoming more complex, the more my legs were numb. Numb... but the seat and the show makes it very relaxing. Every time she sway her elegant dress, I would cheer out loud.... but my voice would never be heard as many others would cheer louder than me. Whenever I threw my rose, many would do the same. There were too many roses, so she never noticed that I threw in another. Whatever I do, was never seen directly. Many had gotten her glance, and invited to her stage. I had it close once, I actually stood on her stage. But due to the fact that she was not sure how to dance or act with me and worry that she wasn't good enough for her as she though her performance wasn't too great that she should have others be on her stage for awhile. I decided to act cool for my audiences by going back into my seat and play my part as... an audience. Though I got the first seat, I never again got her glance. And that's when I learned that my ego and arrogance had totally ruined my own opportunity. From then on... I wasn't able to enjoy the acts she pulled on stage. Even worst, I tried to invite myself onto her stage as I wasn't happy with how things went. As I lost my opportunity, she invited another guy up to her stage... breaking the words she told me when I was on the stage earlier on. With myself being so retarded, I always thought there's another chance. I went again.... and again... for her to actually reject me and chose a guy who sat at the back, wearing non-professional outfit to be on her stage instead. That was my deepest downfall. For me... to lose the stage to some punk... And there... I had nothing to do other than going back to my sit.

As I began to open my eyes wider, I noticed similar acts had been repeating. I began to notice she had been inviting men to her stage just to repeat the same exact drama. The dramas are great, however..... it was getting tasteless overtime. I couldn't stand watching the same drama repeating itself, so, I tried to stand up from my seat and leave the theatre. As I walk further from my seat, the more I realized my feet were not capable of bringing me out of the theater. So I begin to crawl my way out. She noticed me this time, but she wasn't assisting me out, nor was she encouraging me to stay. Maybe she did... but perhaps not.. I had to leave no matter what. The seat were tempting for my legs, but I moved on and drag myself out of the show.

Slowly, and painfuly, I got out. Though my legs were still incapable of movement, at least I was able to make myself believe that her show would not have benefited me. If I stay longer, I would hurt myself. I would probably be noticed one day, but that's when everyone else has left the stage. However I began to notice more and more people are coming into her show.... so what would be the odds of me to be the only audience soon? I sat next to the entrance door of her show to wait for my legs to heal... and to hope that she would ran down from her stage and chase after me. No one was chasing anyone.... As I sat out there, I could just see more and more men and women are going into her show, and I could hear her acts are repeating once again. I... knew things wouldn't change anytime soon; and with my legs were capable of movement, I walked away from her front door, with a wish that one day her drama ends with a happy ending. As I walked pass by doors leading to other people's theater, I always can hear shouts and applause from men. I never cared to enter or visit anymore shows, as all I can think about is how similar their acts/stories will be to the one that I had just left.

I passed many more theatres... some were quiet, but that's maybe because the audience were asked to remain silence. I didn't bother checking anymore. I really didn't care. As I walk pass a specific door, it opened randomly and I was just pulled in by this 1 woman. Her theatre... was rather empty. Even though I was hesitant to get into anymore theaters, but boy... it was the unique one. She told me she had been watching over me, and want me to be on her stage. With the light shining on her stage as I was dragged on, I noticed she's.. a lady...in red... who's eager to start her lone stage with our story.

I legit just side track myself and wrote some bullshit that I would probably not understand in 2 hours time.

Whatever I want to sleep, so that's what I have concluded. Act 1 ends, curtains close.

Marker

I actually have to make this quick because i want to sleep. Also note that I have alot of things to write, but not enough time. I also have to write my waiver for lab class this week, and prepare up for my Journal Club that is going to happen in 2 week time.

So, recently I felt like my paper towel I have for my room have been teleporting to the bathroom. And ofcourse my prime suspect is that one K guy that have been ruining my house with his piss. To confirm this suspicion, I had set up trap for him in my room to make sure that he really did come by and took my paper towel, as he requires to use a ton of them due to the "diet" pill he is taking. Spoiler alert, diet pill causes the deactivation of fat digesting enzymes that would normally digest fat. So you can tell that the bathroom is dirty as fuck because the accumulation of fat gives the microbes in intestine to grow more rapidly, and lead to constant diarrhea.

When I was setting up my trap, I did not use a vid cam since I wasn't in the mood to spend money for something like this. So what I did was the very well known marker of door opening, which is tape. I could just tape the bathroom door connecting to my room. But that is not foolproof at all, as I have another door leading to the living room, which he could access too. And I can't set up tape indicator as my trap, as he could simply notice the tape, place back the tape, and use the other door leading to the living room as well. Note that I can't tape the door leading to the living room because I have to exit the room somehow too, and the tape would have been useless practically.

So what did I have to do, in order to have me know weather he entered my room or not? Do I have to gamble that he would not notice the tape? Do I have to gamble the fact that he may just not thought about me testing his presence in my room? Do I have to gamble that he used the bathroom door, and not the living room door? Do I have to gamble that he took the tissue roll and placed it back at the same exact place, and I can't tell the difference?

With all those in mind, something came out in my head. A conversation of a father and a kid.

Father: One should not gamble, as they are designed to drain one's cash eventually.
Kid: But what if one day I have to gamble no matter what?
Father: At that moment, you'll have to do what I am about to teach you... a method to gain victory during gamble.

With that.... I knew what I should do. A fail proof method to identify if he entered the room or not.

The following is set by this K's perspective.

K boy planned to enter T's room to steal his tissue paper. As he opened the door he noticed 3 tape strip hanging on the top of the door, and one on the bottom. He went in anyway and take my tissue paper. He pay to attention took a roll which was placed very obviously on my table. He went to the bathroom, used the roll and placed it back on the plastic bag he found. He retapped the top tape strip, and he removed the plastic bag on the floor that covered the tape strip, retape the door, and place the plastic bag back to where it was. He also noticed some tape strip on the door leading to living room as well. He tried to fix, but since he knew that he won't be able to fix it and not perturbed the other door's trap, he had no choice but to use the door leading to the living room as the exit. Also he did that because he knew I wouldn't be able to tell any way since I always use the door connecting to the living room to enter my room. So he then used the living room door and left to the bathroom.

All in all, he had triggered 2 traps I set. 1 is a confirmation trap that he used my toilet roll, the other is just a trap to see if he actually noticed my bluff and tried to fixed it, or basically to confirm if he thinks I am fine having him to randomly enter my room. If he came in through the door via the living room and exit via that door only, I would know that he had entered and stole my roll anyway. Anyhow, I have set up a very simple trap.

Let's go through how he had triggered my trap. The trap that is a little complex is the test to see if he thinks that entering my room is fine for him (not fine for me lol). If he entered via the bathroom door, and take my roll, he'll notice 5 strips of tapes that is located very obvious at my door leading to the living room. Note the door to the living room and to the bathroom is perpendicular to each other, at the corner of my room. So either way he has to see it and noticed that I set up tapes on both door before going back into the bathroom. The living room door 5 strips are just to get his attention that there are strips on the bathroom door as well, which are obvious when he walks toward the bathroom door. If he would fix that and exit via the front door, he would tape the 3 strips that I placed. 2 of them are just to guide him that there is 1 more tape at the bottom of the door. And when he moved the plastic bag away, put the strip back and place back my plastic bag, he triggered my trap/indicator if he tried to fix those tapes back together. This is a very simple physics, which is the idea of entropy. when he moved my bag, he have to grab it, place it as where, grab it and placed it back. Now, what are the odd of him capable of folding the plastic bag to how it was like before? Nearly zero, as it is a old plastic bag that can change shape with the slightest movement. and how did I able to confirm that, is by taking picture of it on 3 diff angle before I leave my house. the more he touches the bag, the more it changes. That's it. If he noticed the tapes and would try to fix them, he triggers that, if he doesn't then that answers that he doesn't care about just entering my room like that. There is one gamble that I make here, which is that we would never enter my room via living door room, as he always check on bathroom for toilet roll before entering my room. This would not be triggered if he entered my room via front door. All that complexity just to see if he cares about my privacy at all. Next, which is the most simplest trick that I don't think it is worth being called a trick at all, which is to give a small graphite mark on the tissue roll. If it is used just once, the marking will disappear ( as it is marked on the front most square of the roll), which shows that it is used by someone while I was gone.

Was this the result? No. I wish though. I have wasted your time, so thank you and have a good day/night.

Misleading Opera

Probably not gonna that about what I promised before.

But I want to write about more regarding the statement "we perceive things as how we want it to be." I am pretty sure I wrote something similar to this back in the previous post. Instead of discussing this logic regarding to flatter ourselves by the action of another, I want to write more about how we use the same logic on song lyrics to justify our actions (or giving us false motivation).

I don't know if other humans are like this, but I tend to listen to songs back then and try to use the lyrics to motivate myself. But instead of really trying to understand what each sentence in the lyrics meant, I, either just listen to some parts of the song and skip the others or literally/VOLUNTARILY, make myself believe that the song 100% relates to my life so that I can feel as if I am not in the boat alone, eventhough the song has a different purpose/motive(?). And it is also funny that when we look back at some of these songs that we listened to during our "love phase," we noticed that some of the lyrics don't actually meant what you believe it was before.

Note that i am not typing these at home, I am actually in UW Southlake Union right now, sitting using a desk formally used by a post doc name Mario, waiting for my virgin UAS-Dcr2; nos-Gal4 virgins to hatch (need to cross them later with the Atg RNAi lines, as well as Tsc RNAi lines).

Back to topic, I want to emphasize the fact that I do not know if anyone of you were as stupid as me, in terms of trying to do the above (the song part). So if I am really that retarded, then I.... am retarded.... Whatever.... Instead of me going through theories, I would rather just use a song that I engraved in my heart long ago, back when I was still in the 1st blog drama.

I will write the lyrics, as well as how I'll define the lyrics as before and today.

Song title: Heaven Knows, by Rick Price

She's always on my mind
From the time I wake up 'til I close my eyes
She's everywhere I go
She's all I know

Before and Now: I see this part similarly to how I interpret it before. It's really like a weird feeling where she is always on your mind, whenever/wherever you are. I recall it was very taxing to have such a feeling, but I wasn't able to get out of it. The worst is when I start laughing/giggling at anything, her face would have popped out in my head a second after that. Could that be me trying to relate her to my happiness?

And though she's so far away
It just keeps gettin' stronger, every day
And even now she's gone

Before: I always see it as she is so close, yet so far, eventhough it is vague here. The "gone" I believed in the past was when she no longer want to look into me as her potential, where in actual fact, she never had.

Now: I just think this part is trying to convey the idea that the girl had physically moved out town, yet the singer still builds his lover for her; probably because the singer and the guy were already dating and somehow they break up, and the guy finally see how separation has made him realized how much he actually loved her.

I'm still holding on
So tell me where do I start
'Cause it's breakin' my heart
Don't want to let her go

Before: I conveyed to myself hard that this means "I am hoping that she would just like me back... somehow." When I was like this, I also begged the question of how to maintain my emotion like that forever? What should I do in order to get her like me and break me out of the misery? Where should I start? And all I know is, I don't want to stop loving her because I was desperate in trying to get her out of her sad life as well. I recall I always see her life as "some one who's lost." And to guide someone out of that is what I would sacrifice myself for.

Now: Probably he realized how much she was important to him, and he begged the question on how to get this girl back to him (where should he start?). And the 2 lines are obviously because of the same reason, he can't leave her because he just realized her value to his life. This song actually fits in the  summarized scenario of :couples fight, break, boy regret, girl find other boy, boy sad, boy make song.

Maybe my love will come back some day
Only heaven knows
And maybe our hearts will find a way
Only heaven knows
And all I can do is hope and pray
'Cause heaven knows

Before: As memory serves, I always never had the 1st part understood and i randomly perceive is as some other lyric. "Maybe my love will come back some day" I took this as if my definition of love, or my quest of love itself has lost its meaning because I am in love with someone that probably don't love me back. Which... is still considered "love," so I don't know how I went so far in trying to twist the lyrics, where I knew it wasn't defining what the lyrics meant. The rest is pretty similar to how I see it today.

Now: When he say "my love" he probably is referring to the girl. It's quite a common pet calling(?) where someone calls their significant others "my love." And the rest is basically hoping that the girl would love him back again, and that's why all he can do is hope and pray. What would happen if he just aggressively chase after her though?

My friends keep tellin' me
That if you really love her
You've gotta set her free
And if she returns in kind
I'll know she's mine
But tell me where do I start
'Cause it's breakin' my heart
Don't want to let her go

Before: 1st 3 lines is as obvious as it is. I did not misled this part because someone in my class literally said the same thing to me. What is weird is the 4th and 5th line. I took those lines before as separate sentences. I took the 4th line as "As if she returns in kind," which made myself meant "as if she would return to me and love me directly ( I honestly thought this quantum defying thing could happen)." And the 5th line as just "I know she's mine," which obviously trying to further fool myself that she is fated to be mine. This shows just how loving someone could make yourself blinder than a blind person.

Now: The 3rd line is connected to the 4th and 5th line. If he set her free, he could finally attain peace in himself. 4th line is more of saying "who knows if she would come back," so not only the guy would attain peace in himself, but he also would still be playing the chance of having the woman coming back to him. And if that happens, that would be great, since 1) the guy doesn't have to continuously suffer while waiting (or he could just not wait), 2) if she returns, all he got to do is to began loving her back and 3) when a woman/man comes back after hardship, usually is because they have finally opened themselves to change that had cause the hole in the relationship. If he doesn't let her go, he'd probably just suffer, at the same time waiting on the person to come back.  I probably could summarize this part as "if you see your best friend suffer of love, you would tell them to move on and if she comes back, then oh lalala).

Maybe my love will come back some day
Only heaven knows
And maybe our hearts will find a way
Only heaven knows
And all I can do is hope and pray
'Cause heaven knows

Why I live in despair
'Cause wide awake or dreaming
I know she's never there

Before: 1st line same, only 2nd and 3rd  line. I took the 2nd and 3rd as one sentence and slightly misled the lyrics. I said it as "Cause why we go dreaming, while I know she's never there." It's really funny that I LITERALLY added words that were never there, yet at that time I believed real hard that they where there when I listened to it 911 times. I don't have to explain why I heard what I heard since it is quite clear to you what I am trying to convey in that part.

Now: I think he is just in agony because as long as he exist to love her, she is never there. I honestly still IDK in this part.

And all the time I act so brave
I'm shaking inside
Why does it hurt me so

Before: I literally ignored this part, since I had no idea how it would biasly relate to me.

Now: Still IDK.

Maybe my love will come back some day
Only heaven knows
And maybe our hearts will find a way
Only heaven knows
And all I can do is hope and pray
'Cause heaven knows

Well that's all about it. As we can see, we perceive things as how we want them to be. And it gets worst when you are in love. Just how pathetic we (or at least I am) are when we are in love... trying to get someone and use songs to justify our actions and feelings.
